Who else feels the big three auto makers failed to use video games as a marketing tool?

Since kids sit around and play video games 24/7, does anyone else see how the big three failed to use this to their advantage, like the other companies have done? Almost all of the games out there, are promoting the tuner type vehicles, and 90% of them are not American made. I feel this is what has led big business away. That, and designs that look like a sick dog drew up the plans. Being #2 or 3 only means you are the first and second loosers. They have taken on a mentality of calling the fire department after the house has burned down. You may know what I’m talking about, but they don’t. Try submitting a design to them, and you have to get permission to do so. I would think a sinking ship would welcome a life raft or two.

I am sure you have seen in the emails misspelled words or words with these characters in them "* .- _ " and others, well it usually is not because they can not spell or misplaced fingers on the keyboard. There is actually a very good reason for it. To get around the spam filters.

Spam is really a huge problem on the web nowadays and regrettably, this has impacted companies that send out legitimate bulk emails using database marketing and advertising resources. This means that you must work much harder to get some of your emails to your reader's in-boxes.

Every email program (from Hotmail to Outlook) possess built-in spam filters which check inbound emails to find out if it is spam. One of the items it checks for are the words within the content and coding side of the email as well as in the subject line; should the program discover words which are 'spammy', the program will tag the email as spam and therefore the person will most likely never view it.

My primary business deals with a travel club membership, guess what, travel and club are both considered "spam words". Some of the other words that I like to use that are also considered "spam" are: beach, code, opportunity, free, discover and the list goes on. The spam words all have points associated with them and the idea is to keep your score below 5. So, you may be asking how do I know what my score is? Many of the bulk email programs have a built in spam checker that will grade your email, if not, you will find free ones in the resources below. Should your score be above 5, you want to edit your wording to reduce it.

The best method is to replace the words with "approved words", so have a good thesaurus handy. Sometimes it is very hard to find the right word without changing the meaning so we try and trick the filters by inserting characters with in the word or combining words (travelclub). This does not always work and can work against you.

My recommendation is to always run your email or newsletter through a spam checker before sending.

Recently I was victimized by a marketer of online video games in the Boston area! (Also the Home of the Biggest Federal Contracting scam in recent US History–The Infamous Big Dig!) The owner claims to have made millions marketing over 50K video games and claims to be the only legal way to market these types of games online. This is obviously wrong! Im writing a paper on the effects of propaganda, marketing and censorship in video gaming, and what the consequences might be for the general public. I’m looking at it from a moral, social and ethical point of view, rather than comparing different forms of propaganda historically or doing a study on the influence of games on the individual.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions that I could mention, perhaps that I dont know of? Please share your opinions and knowledge!

The fitness video market is flooded with crap right now, I’m thinking I could add some flavor to it by joining sex with fitness. For example, just think of your lady friend doing the naked squat while her male partner is "spotting" her from (or in) the behind? Or how about situps with a little treat on the up and another on the sit? See, do you think this might sell?

I have a final project in the business management course that i am taking and we have to come up with a topic for a new service in a video game and marketing business that will increase efficiency of operations and keep employees happy. here the situation: company moves into River View Plaza, a four-story office building in Portland, Oregon.

River View Plaza includes a lobby with a security desk and several suites on all four floors. DigiFast occupies a typical suite that includes offices for managers, full-sized cubicles for employee workstations, a conference room, and restrooms. There is a break room with a refrigerator and a microwave, but, unfortunately, the break room is on the first floor, and DigiFast is on the third floor.

DigiFast is new and growing fast. The company needs more employees, but the operating budget will not allow for it presently.
